Bathing and Grooming Services

It’s time to bring your dog to Barkside Lodge for a day of running, jumping, and playing with friends!  We have indoor and outdoor play areas, special rubber matting on the floor to protect knees and joints, playground equipment designed especially for dogs, lots of toys to play with, and experienced staff who love to keep the dogs entertained.  When the weather permits, we have shallow doggie pools for the dogs to cool off and splash in.  Our daycamp allows dogs to burn off energy in a fun and safe environment.  You can focus on work, while your dog meets and greets new and old friends and enjoys simply being a dog.  Some features that make our daycamp right for your dog are:

¨ SMALL PLAY GROUPS.  We limit our playgroups to 10 - 12 dogs per group, with one staff member per group.

¨ LOTS OF PLAY TIME.  Our dogs get 4 - 5 hours of playtime per day, with a noon-time break that gives them time to reenergize for the afternoon play session and reduces crankiness that often comes with overstimulation.

¨ QUALIFIED STAFF.  Only well-trained staff work in our daycamp program.  Jason Goins, our Manager/Facility Director oversees daily operations.  He has over 6 years experience in kennel and daycamp operations.  He has completed Pet Care Services Association’s Advanced Pet Care Training Program and has attended seminars on pack behavior, dog socialization, and operating a safe dog daycamp.  Andrea Rizzi, our daycamp counselor, is on-site Monday through Friday .  In addition to extensive training experience with her own dogs, Andrea has over 18 years of animal husbandry experience, including 13 years as a zoo keeper at Miami Metro Zoo.  She also enjoys participating in confirmation and agility shows with her dogs, Maley and Smokey.  Employees who assist Jason and Andrea in daycamp have completed Level 1 of Pet Care Services Association’s Pet Care Technician Program and have gone through in-house training to ensure a safe and a fun daycamp experience for your dog.

¨ PROPER PARTICIPANT SCREENING. All dogs must pass a temperament screening before being admitted into our program.  Participants must also be current on all vaccinations (call for requirements).  To ensure that all dogs have a fun and safe experience, we reserve the right to deny participation in our program to any dog we do not feel is appropriate for group play.

¨ EARLY DROP-OFF.  We know that many parents of our daycamp guests have to be at work early.  We allow guests to arrive as early as 6:00 a.m., provided the early drop off is arranged in advance.

¨ DISCOUNTS FOR FREQUENT GUESTS.  We love our frequent daycampers and to prove it we are introducing new multi-visit packages that can reduce your per-visit cost to as little as $15 per day.  Our new pricing is:

Single visit                    $25   (boarding guests pay $10 for 1/2 day and $15 for a full day)

5 visit package             $90

10 visit package           $175

20 visit package           $300

If you have more than one dog, each additional dog will be charged 50% of the stated rated.

¨ We have limited pick up and drop off in certain areas (a fee applies).  Call or e-mail us for details.
